shouldn't have been surprised given the title

I was drawn in by the title, and not because I was interested in goats, but because it seemed to portend of a morality tale infused with some humor.

instead, it was mostly humorless page after page of goat husbandry!

as the book started, I figured Jennifer was taking us on a journey of self-discovery… and there was a little of this for a few chapters.  but there was so much detail about the raising of goats that i started just scanning pages at a time to skip this.  I felt she could have boiled down this part of her story by 80% and still got the point across, and I would have remained more engaged.
